MGCCC’S Dempster earns NJCAA All-American honors

Dempster, Hill All-State & All-Region 23 honorees

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College pitcher Clint Dempster is a 2009 NJCAA First-Team All-American and part of the MACJC’S All-State & All-Region 23 squad along with Gulf Coast freshman slugger Jeremy Hill.

Dempster, a sophomore from Thibodaux, La., led the NJCAA in strikeouts during the regular season with 113 and went 6-3 with a 2.84 ERA.

Hill, a freshman from Long Beach, led the NJCAA with 72 RBI’S in the regular season while hitting .448 with 12 home runs.

Both players were instrumental in leading Gulf Coast to the 2009 MACJC South Division title.
