WESSON---Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College was hoping for a road doubleheader sweep at Co-Lin but instead had to settle for a split in the MACJC South Division twinbill Mar. 27. The Bulldogs took game one 15-6 but dropped the nightcap 9-7 to go to 16-7 overall and 4-4 in division play.
In the game one victory, Brian Babin went 5 1/3 innings to get the win while Jeremy Hill and Derek Davis both connected on three-run homers. Corey Groue had two hits including and RBI double.
Patrick Kirkland paced Gulf Coast in game two with two doubles and two RBI. The Bulldogs travel to Jackson Tuesday to take on Jones in a doubleheader at Smith-Wills Stadium at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
