MGCCC baseball sweeps Jeff Davis C.C.

BREWTON, AL.---Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College ran its record to 6-3 with a doubleheader sweep of Jeff Davis C.C. Thursday. The Bulldogs took game one 9-3 behind the pitching and batting of Jeremy Hill. The sophomore from Long Beach worked five innings and struck out four on the mound for the win while going 3-for-5 at the plate with 3 RBI. Jeremy Simmons added two hits and scored twice in the victory.
Gulf Coast edged the Warhawks 1-0 in the nightcap behind shutout pitching from Tyler Buckley (4 IP, 6 strikeouts) and Anthony Izzio (2 IP, 4 strikeouts). At the plate, Zach DeSoto added two hits. The Bulldogs, now winners of five straight, travel to Northwest Saturday for a doubleheader.
