MGCCC baseball splits with Hinds

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College saw its four game winning streak come to an end Tuesday as the Bulldogs split a doubleheader with Hinds in Raymond.
Gulf Coast (19-7, 6-2) dropped game one 9-8 in eight innings. Will White led the Bulldogs at the plate with a 3-for-5 outing that included two homeruns and five RBI. Jeremy Hill had two hits including a homer and two RBI.
The Bulldogs rebounded in the nightcap with a 5-4 victory as Bryant Wilson drove in the game winning run the seventh. Wilson had two hits, while Jeremy Hill added three more. Jann Butler's two-run homer in the 7th tied the game which set up the late-inning heroics by Wilson. On the mound, Drew Granier earned the win as he struck out seven in six innings of work. Micheal Baxter picked up two key strikeouts down the stretch for the save.
Gulf Coast travels to Moorhead Thursday for a doubleheader with Mississippi Delta, then gets back into MACJC South Division action with a doubleheader at Pearl River Saturday.
