MGCCC football team takes part in National D.A.R.E. Day

The Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College football team along with the coaching staff and Bulldog cheerleaders helped facilitate a punt, pass, and kick competition and served as guest speakers at a National D.A.R.E. Day event at St. Patrick High School Apr. 20.

D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance and Education) is a nationwide program that gives kids the skills they need to avoid involvement in drugs, gangs, and violence. D.A.R.E has been implemented in 75 percent of our nation's school districts and in more than 43 countries around the world.

The punt, pass, and kick competition at St. Patrick was sponsored by the Mississippi D.A.R.E Officers Association and Harrison County District One Supervisor Windy Swetman.
