MGCCC golf takes 9th at Meridian Tournament

MGCCC’S Nic Ishee
Gulf Coast finished 9th with a 299-305-295--899 total in the Jim Redgate Intercollegiate Golf Tournament at Briarwood CC in Meridian, MS. Host Meridian won the event after firing rounds of 289-287-291 for an 867 total and a 2-shot victory over Central Alabama at 869. Wallace State (873) finished 3rd, followed by Faulkner State (875), Spring Hill (877), Univ of Mobile (884), Darton (885) Co-Lin (897), Gulf Coast (899), East Central (938) and Pearl River (958).
Blaise Wilson of Wallace State won the individual title after rounds of 70-69-69--208, 5-under par. Richie Williams led Gulf Coast and finished 7th with rounds of 75-74-69--218, followed by Nic Ishee 72-75-76--223 (26th), Michael Wilkinson 76-77-74--227 (40th), Colin McNamara 81-80-76-237 (54th) and Grant Burns 76-79-82-237 (54th). Former St Patrick standout and current University of Mobile golfer Leland Dunning shot 76-75-74—225 and finished 33rd.
