MGCCC golf team takes second straight MACJC win

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College won its second straight MACJC event by firing rounds of 295-292--587 to beat Northeast by 9 shots at east Central Feb. 20-21. Copiah-Lincoln finished 3rd at 611, followed by East Central 614, East MS 624, Northwest 625, Hinds 638, Itawamba 667, Jones JC 668, Pearl River 679 and Holmes 720.
Gulf Coast sophomore Colin McNamara took medalist honors with a 74-72--146 total, while teammates Richie Williams, Taylor Michie, and Skyler Dennis were also named to the All-Tournament team with 148 totals. Nic Ishee shot 151 to finish 12th, and Michael Wilkinson shot 157 to finish 29th. Gulf Coast will travel to Co-Lin's Wolf Hollow Golf Club March 8 for Event #3 on the MACJC schedule.
