MGCCC golf team wins East Central Invitational

The Mississippi Gulf Coast Golf Team finished the fall season by winning the ECCC Fall Invitational played at the 6641-yard Dancing Rabbit Golf Club Monday and Tuesday with rounds of 294-305--599. Northeast (605) finished second, followed by East Central Gold (612), Copiah Lincoln White (621), Copiah Lincoln Blue (638), Hinds (632) and East Central Black (693).
Richie Williams won Medalist and All-Tournament Team honors with a 67-75-142 2-under total to beat teammate Nic Ishee (70-74--144) by two shots. Ishee was also named to the All-Tournament Team. Rounding out the scoring for Gulf Coast, Brandon Herrington (154), Colin McNamara (155), Grant Burns and Michael Wilkinson (159), and Skyler Dennis (160).
