MGCCC golfers earn post-season honors

The MGCCC Golf team hopes to win the MACJC State Tournament Apr. 12-13.

Four members of the 2010 Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College golf team are headed to next week’s MACJC State Tournament with post-season honors. Sophomore Richie Williams is an MACJC First-Team All-State Honoree while fellow sophomores Brandon Herrington, Colin McNamara, and Nic Ishee garnered Second-Team All-State recognition. The Bulldogs won three out of the five MACJC events in 2010 and head into the post-season hoping to make it three straight Region 23 titles.

The MACJC State Tournament is set for Apr. 12-13 while the Region 23 Tournament takes place Apr. 25-26. Both events will be played at Eagle Ridge Golf Club at Hinds Community College.
