MGCCC wins another MACJC event

Gulf Coast won the MACJC Northeast Invitational at Shiloh Ridge Golf Club in Corinth, MS after firing rounds of 289-304--593, finishing five shots ahead of East MS (598). Copiah-Lincoln (600) finished 3rd, followed by host Northeast (603), Hinds (606), Northwest (629), Itawamba (641), East Central (643), and Pearl River (645).

Hinds' Elliott Bingham took medalist honors after shooting a 3-under 69 to go with a 1st round 75 to edge MGCCC's Richie Williams (145) and Hal Larkin (145). Rounding out the scoring for Gulf Coast were Michael Wilkinson (149), Colin McNamara and Skyler Dennis (150), Corey Ward (151), Nic Ishee (153), and Brandon Herrington (155).

Gulf Coast will head to Kirkwood National in Holly Springs Saturday to compete in the MACJC State Championship.
