Make it two in a row for MGCCC golf

Mississippi Gulf Coast cruised to a 13-shot win over Copiah-Lincoln Community College in the MACJC Hinds Golf Tournament played at the 6421-yard Eagle Ridge Golf Course in Raymond, MS. Feb. 22-23. Last week Gulf Coast took first place at the season-opening event at Laurel C.C.
At eagle Ridge, host Hinds (621) finished 3rd, followed by East MS (624), Northeast (633), Pearl River (642), East Central (652), Northwest (654), Jones (681) and Southwest (749).
Hinds’ Elliott Bingham took home medalist honors with rounds of 73-73-146, edging MGCCC’s Richie Williams (74-73-147) by one stroke. Williams, Nic Ishee (150), and Michael Wilkinson (153) made the All-Tournament team, while Corey Ward and Skyler Dennis (157), Grant Burns (159) and Brandon Herrington (160) rounded out the scoring for Gulf Coast. Jason Daniels (76-80-156) led Pearl River. Other PRCC scores included Brad Pritchett (158), Caleb Hickman (159), Bradley Anderson (178) and Rusty Speirs (178).
All teams will continue the season at Forest Country Club this weekend in the 36-hole MACJC East Central Invitational.
