PERKINSTON---Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College lost some more ground in the race fvor the MACJC South Division title Feb. 4 as Pearl River defeated the Bulldogs 68-58 at the Weathers/Wentzell Center. Raymond Cintron led Gulf Coast (14-8, 4-5) with 21 points. The hot-and-cold Bulldogs have lost two straight division games after beginning the week on a three-game winning streak.
The Lady Bulldogs defeated Pearl River 51-38 giving Gulf Coast (8-14, 4-5) a regular-season sweep over the Lady Wildcats. Kiara Johnson led Gulf Coast with 19 points while Deonica McCormick added 10.
Gulf Coast travels to Co-Lin Feb. 8.
