        <title> Golf team blows away field at Co-Lin Invitational</title>
        <description> Mississippi Gulf Coast won the 11-team Copiah-Lincoln Invitational played at Wolf Hollow Golf Club and Brookhaven Country Club.  The Bulldogs shot 290-288--578 to win by 23 shots over East Mississippi 601.  Northeast and host Copiah-Lincoln finished 3rd at 603, followed by East Cenral 607, Northwest 608, Itawamba 618, Hinds 641, Jones 667, Pearl River 668, and Holmes 685.</description>

        <title> Tennis teams come close to back-to-back victories</title>
        <description> Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s tennis teams came within a few points of making it two straight wins within 24 hours. On Wednesday Gulf Coast took down Faulkner St. while the women’s squad (4-1) beat archrival Pearl River Thursday at the Biloxi Tennis Center. The men’s team (3-2) dropped its event with Pearl River 5-4 as two singles matches were lost in tie breakers.</description>

        <description> Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College upped its winning streak to seven by pounding Northwest in a doubleheader sweep Saturday. The Bulldogs (8-3) took game one 10-1 as winning pitcher Sean Kennel chalked up 10 more strikeouts in six innings of work. Patrick Kirkland led the Gulf Coast offensive attack with three hits and two RBI while Jeremy Hill, Will White, and Derek Davis each chipped in two hits.</description>

        <title> MGCCC tennis shuts out Holmes</title>
        <description> During the last 24 hours, practice made perfect for the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College tennis team. On Thursday Gary Bourgeois's squad took on four-year college William Carey in a practice match in Hattiesburg. A day later, the fruits of their labor paid off as the men and women both blanked Holmes at the Biloxi Tennis Center. Kriss Baglais, Alex Drake, Lin Jacobson, Travis Ladner, Tyler Eggers and Taylor Thrash were all winners in men's singles matches, while teams featuring Baglais/Drake, Jacobson/Ladner and Eggers/Thrash all won in men's doubles.</description>

        <description> Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College served up victories from both men's and women's tennis teams against East Central Feb. 23 at the Biloxi Tennis Center. The men (1-1) defeated East Central 5-4 as Kriss Baglais and Alex Drake won their doubles match over Danny Smith and Colton Amis 8-3 while Baglais, Alex Drake, Travis Ladner and Tyler Eggers all took home victories in singles matches.</description>

        <title> East Mississippi knocks off MGCCC 90-79</title>
        <description> In the end, a huge early deficit and being on the road was too much for Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College to overcomeat the MACJC State Tournament. The top-seeded East Mississippi Lions (22-4) jumped out to a huge lead and defeated Gulf Coast (17-9) 90-79 in the opening round of the single elimination event featuring the top four teams from each division of the MACJC. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak by the Bulldogs heading into the post-season.</description>
