MGCCC soccer splits with Pearl River

PERKINSTON---For the first time this season, a Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College soccer team was defeated. The Bulldog men's squad had no problem squashing archrival Pearl River 9-1 to improve to 7-0-1 overall and 4-0 in the MACJC South Division. Cameron Bosley led the way for Gulf Coast with three goals while Taylor Thrash added two. Chris Nettles, Jonathan Marin, Dustin Hamilton, and Angle Plascencia also scored for the Bulldogs.

The Lady Bulldogs suffered their first loss of 2009 as Pearl River scored three second half goals to shut out the Lady Bulldogs 3-0. Gulf Coast is now 6-1-1and 3-1. Gulf Coast will host East Mississippi Monday at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.
