PERKINSTON---Despite soggy conditions thanks a pre-game downpour, both Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College soccer teams were able to stay undefeated in 2009 with victories over Northwest.

The Bulldogs (3-0-1) fought off Northwest to earn a 6-3 win. Chris Nettles had two first half goals while Cameron Bosley and Taylor Thrash added one a piece as Gulf Coast took a 4-2 lead into halftime. The Bulldogs got two more goals from Steven Lepre and Justin Hyde in the second half to seal the win.

The Lady Bulldogs (3-0) earned a 4-0 shutout over Northwest as Kelli Ranson netted two goals with Sarah Wilson and Katy Buchanan each adding a goal of their own.

Gulf Coast travels to Jones Sept. 11 for their MACJC South Division openers.
