MGCCC Soccer Sweeps East Central

DECATUR---Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s soccer teams continued to set the pace in the MACJC South Division with wins over East Central Tuesday.
The Bulldogs (5-0-1, 2-0) blanked East Central 9-0 as Taylor Thrash and Jonathan Marin each knocked home two goals. Chris Nettles, Angel Plascencia, Steven Lepre, Tyler Eggers, and Dustin Hamilton all added a goal each.
The Lady Bulldogs (5-0, 2-0) shut out East Central 8-0, with Kelli Ranson leading the way with three goals. Kallie Patterson scored twice, while Allison Gray, Miriah Carpenter and Shelly Nichols each finding the back of the net for the Lady Bulldogs.
Gulf Coast will host Southwest Sept. 19 with game times at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
