MGCCC soccer teams use second half surges to sweep Southwest

PERKINSTON, Ms.---Both Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College soccer teams remain unbeaten after wins over Southwest Saturday at Perkinston.

The Bulldogs (6-0-1, 3-0) used three second half goals to surge past Southwest. Angel Plascencia score twice and Taylor Thrash added a goal for Gulf Coast after a 0-0 tie at halftime.

The Lady Bulldogs went to 6-0 and 3-0 with a 4-1 victory. Sarah Wilson scored twice while Allison Peterson and Courtney Fairley each chipped in with a goal apiece. The women travel to Darton Sunday while both teams travel to Co-Lin Sept. 23.
