MGCCC softball sweeps Co-Lin

PERKINSTON---Mariah Partman's RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning propelled Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College to a 6-5 win and a doubleheader sweep of Co-Lin Saturday. The Lady Bulldogs (22-6, 6-2) shut out Co-Lin 8-0 in game one of the MACJC South Division twinbill.

Linsey Dickerson upped her record to 9-2 and struck out seven in the opening victory while Tiffany Fuller had three hits and Courtney Fairley added two. Lauren Bates drove in three with a seond inning double while Sarah Smaltz also had three RBI.

In the thrilling 6-5 extra-inning nightcap, Linsey Dickerson (10-2) earned another victory in the circle. At the plate, Sarah Smaltz and Megan Colvin each had two hits while Courtney Fairley drove in two.

Gulf Coast travels to East Central April 1 for another MACJC South Division doubleheader.
