MGCCC softball swept by LSU-E

EUNICE, La.---A day after sweeping East Mississippi, No. 6 ranked Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College was swept by No. 20 LSU-E in two close games on the road.
LSU-E took game 1 3-2 as Lady Bulldog pitcher Linsey Dickerson (4-1) absorbed her first loss of the season. Courtney Fairley led Gulf Coast at the plate with a 3-for-4 effort.
The Lady Bengals took the nightcap 4-1. Brittany Fields (2-2) took the loss in the circle for the Bulldogs while Kayla Hebert provided her team's lone score on a solo homer.
Gulf Coast (10-4) will host Itawamba Saturday at Perkinston with game times at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
