PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast held onto a spot in the latest NJCAA Division II baseball poll released Tuesday. The Bulldogs check in at No. 20, one of six MACJC teams.

The Bulldogs (12-6, 1-1 MACJC) appeared in the poll for the first time since 2013 in the first regular-season poll of the week. They were 13th, but went 1-3 last week.

Other Mississippi schools in the poll include No. 1 Jones County, No. 7 East Central, No. 10 Itawamba, No. 18 East Mississippi and No. 19 Hinds.

Gulf Coast returns to action Wednesday with a trip to Copiah-Lincoln. The doubleheader in Wesson starts at 3 p.m. The Bulldogs return home March 28 when archrival Pearl River visits Ken "Curly" Farris Field.
