No. 7 Gulf Coast entertains Meridian

PERKINSTON — No. 7 Mississippi Gulf Coast has a busy week on tap with finals and its final three regular-season doubleheaders, and there are still postseason seeding matters to clear up.

The Lady Bulldogs open the final stretch Tuesday when Meridian visits Ross-Smith Field. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. and the games will be streamed at

Gulf Coast will clinch a playoff berth with one victory or one loss by Pearl River or Copiah-Lincoln this week. The top eight teams will play in the double-elimination MACJC Tournament next week.


  • MGCCC: 25-11/17-5 MACJC, 3rd place in conference
  • Meridian: 21-15/14-10 MACJC, 7th place in conference

Last Time Out

  • Gulf Coast lost two nail-biters at No. 10 Itawamba on Friday, falling 3-1 and 2-1.
  • Meridian swept Coahoma on Saturday, winning 8-0 and 8-5.
