MGCCC basketball tunes up for division play

Gulf Coast (6-2) roared out to a 46-16 halftime and never looked back as the team avenged an 85-61 loss to the Lady Bengals on Nov. 12. Shameika Hart drained seven three-pointers in a 28-point effort while Samara Dingiswayo scored 16 points including five treys. Malaney Nickey scored 12 points while Presley Owens had 10.
A day earlier, the men (8-1) went on the road and drilled Springhill’s JV squad 77-57.
Gulf Coast opens MACJC South Division action at Co-Lin Thursday with games at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
