MGCCC basketball splits at Co-Lin

WESSON---The Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College men are riding a seven-game winning streak after dispatching Co-Lin 68-55 Nov. 29 in the team’s MACJC South Division opener.
The Bulldogs (9-1, 1-0), the two-time defending MACJC Champs, were led by 17 points from Darius Forest and 16 from JaMichael Hawkins. Giancarlo Santiago and Chris Bilbo each scored 13 points to take up the slack for missing starter Angel Matias, who missed the game due to an ankle injury.
The Lady Bulldogs (6-3, 0-1) fell to Co-Lin 63-51 despite 19 points from Presley Owens and 15 from Shamekia Hart.
Gulf Coast returns home to face Southwest Dec. 3 with games at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
