MGCCC soccer competes in friendly weekend matches

Last weekend Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College broke away from MACJC competition and played some of the NJCAA’s top soccer teams.

Friday Night the Lady Bulldogs fell 6-1 to Tyler, the NJCAA’S top ranked women’s team. Sunday morning Gulf Coast (9-3) then dropped a 2-0 decision to Brevard Community College.

The men’s squad (10-2) got a goal from Phillip Prieur that was the difference in a 1-0 win over Wallace St.

Both teams dive back into MACJC South Division action Wednesday at home against Jones with game times at 5:30/7:30 p.m.
