Future Perkette Workshop Registration

The Perkette Dance Team has been a fixture at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College for more than 50 years. In honor of the college’s Centennial Celebration, the Perkette Dance Team would like to begin a new tradition. Our Future Perkette Workshop is a preparation for girls age 3-13 to perform with the Perkettes at the Perkinston Campus Festival of Lights. The workshop requires no prior dance experience and gives these young dancers a chance to interact, learn and perform with talented and inspirational young women.

Proceeds from the workshop will benefit the Perkette Dance Team and its efforts to compete in a state dance competition.

Registration:
The workshop is limited to 50 participants between the ages of 3 and 13. The final day to mail or deliver your registration form, along with payment, is Monday, November 28, 2011.

Cost:
$40, if payment is received by Thursday, November 3, 2011 ($50 after that date).
Cost includes a workshop T-shirt and Santa Hat. Snacks are not provided during the workshop.

Workshop Itinerary:
8 am–8:30 a.m. Sign in
8:30–9 a.m. Introductions
9-9:45 a.m. Group 1 - Learn routine/ Group 2 - Arts &Crafts
9:45–10 a.m. Snacks (Group 1)
10-10:45 a.m. Group 2 - Learn routine/ Group 1 - Arts &Crafts
10:45-11 a.m. Snacks (Group 2)
11–Noon Final rehearsal on stage - ALL groups




Performance:
Friday, December 9, 2011
The performance will take place during the Festival of Lights on the Perkinston Campus. Performance attire: workshop T-shirt, comfortable jeans, sneakers and Santa Hat.
