Archrivals Gulf Coast, Pearl River battle for MACJC soccer titles

RIDGELAND, MS---Familiar foes will fight it out Sunday as Both Gulf Coast men's and women's teams take on Pearl River in the 2011 MACJC soccer championship games at Noon and 3 p.m.

The Lady Bulldogs (14-4) got the day going with a 1-0 win over Hinds in Saturday's semi-finals as Torie Zimmer scored in the second half to secure the win.

The Bulldogs (13-4-1) got goals from Harrison Russell, Dallas Mansfield, Taylor Stokes, and Jason Diehl in a 4-1 win over Holmes. The men's team split it's two games with the Wildcats this season while the Lady Bulldogs dropped both games to Pearl River during the regular season.
