MGCCC sweeps day two of Gulf Coast Classic

MGCCC'S Ice Asortse led the Bulldogs against Holmes with 16 points.

The Bulldogs (6-2) edged out Holmes 57-55 behind 16 points from Ice Asortse. Angel Matias added 9 points while Guy Payne had 8 in the victory.
The Lady Bulldogs also defended the home court in a 72-68 win over Alabama Southern. Gulf Coast (4-3) had four players score in double digits with Delainna Lyons leading the way with 18 points. Tatyana Haywood had 13, Cara Beverin added 12, and Yasmine Nelson had 10.
Both Gulf Coast teams will take Thanksgiving off and resume play Monday, Nov. 28 with games at Bishop St.
