Soccer coach Bary Thrash

The Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College soccer program celebrated its historic 2011 season Nov. 29 with its annual awards ceremony at Heidelberg Hall on the college’s Perkinston Campus.

For the first time since soccer became a sport in 1998, both the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs won MACJC and Region 23 titles. The men defeated archrival Pearl River twice for the MACJC crown and Region 23 championship while the women beat Pearl River for the MACJC title and Meridian for the Region 23 championship.
