Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College head football coach Steve Campbell calls the 2011 Bulldog football team “the most competitive group I’ve ever been around.”

On Dec. 13 the squad that went 10-2, won an MACJC South Division title and a Mississippi Bowl title was honored along with the college’s cheerleaders and athletic trainers at Malone Hall on the college’s Perkinston Campus.

“This group was always ready to play and compete,” Campbell said. “They lost their opener, came back and won nine in a row, then lost the State Championship game, then came back and beat Blinn in the bowl game by 29 points.”
