MGCCC basketball sweeps Delgado

PERKINSTON---2012 began just like 2011 ended for Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College as both teams defeated Delgado at the Weathers/Wentzell Center.

The men (11-2) blasted Delgado 106-82 with Angel Matias leading the way with 24 points. Jerimiah Dunnings had 20 while Ice Asortse added 15 and Jeffery Simmons chipped in with 13.

The Lady Bulldogs (8-4) took care of Delgado 53-46 as Ricille Davis poured in 29 points and Presley Owens had 15.

Gulf Coast gets back into MACJC South Division action on the road Jan. 17 at Jones.
