PERKINSTON---The red-hot Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Bulldogs extended their winning streak to nine with a 67-58 win over Co-Lin at the Weathers/Wentzell Center.

Gulf Coast (13-2, 4-0) got the victory by scoring the last four points on the game to hold off a feisty Co-Lin squad.

Angel Matias led the Bulldogs with 17 points while Darius Forest had 13 and Ice Asortse added 12.

The Lady Bulldogs (8-6, 2-2) got within a point of perennial MACJC South Division power Co-Lin with 1:50 to go but couldn’t complete the comeback as the Lady Wolves prevailed 59-53.

Ricille Davis led Gulf Coast with 16 points while Yasmine Nelson added 14.

Gulf Coast will host Southwest Jan. 23 in Perkinston.
