Softball takes down Baton Rouge

PERKINSTON---Megan Lamb threw a one-hit shutout as Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College beat up on Baton Rouge 6-0 in game one of a doubleheader. The Lady Bulldogs (3-0) led game two 5-3 but rain forced postponement before the contest could become official.

Katy White, Lea Kittrel, and Julie Butler each had two hits for Gulf Coast in the victory.

Gulf Coast ventures into MACJC action Friday at home with a make-up doubleheader against East Mississippi at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
