Defending MACJC champs advance to tournament semi-finals
FULTON, MS---They say the thing that separates the good teams from the great teams is the ability to come from behind and win.It remains to be seen if Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College is indeed a great team, but Monday Night the No. 17 Bulldogs played great down the stretch in a 76-67 come from behind win over Itawamba in the MACJC Tournament Quarter-Finals.
Gulf Coast (20-4), the defending MACJC Tournament Champions, will face either Hinds or Holmes in the semi-finals Wednesday at 8 p.m.
Itawamba (9-14), the host team, surged out to a 36-22 halftime lead behind a torrid shooting clip and led 50-38 with 12:24 remaining in the second half.
