MGCCC softball takes road sweep at Co-Lin

WESSON---Julie Butler’s three-run homer in the top of the seventh propelled Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College to a 4-0 win in game one as part of a doubleheader sweep at Co-Lin Tuesday.
The Lady Bulldogs (12-3, 3-0) were up 1-0 in the top of the seventh when Butler smacked her third homerun this season. Courtney Moore also had a big game at the plate with three hits and an RBI. Pitcher Megan Lamb went the distance, striking out five in seven innings while only allowing four hits.
In the 7-1 game two victory, Lamb had two RBI at the plate while Lea Kittrell and Katy White each had two hits in the nine-hit attack. Fallon Dyle picked up the win in the circle, going seven innings and giving up one run on four hits.
Gulf Coast makes up a rained out MACJC Game Wednesday at Southwest, then hosts Jones to make up another rained out doubleheader Thursday before hosting LSU-Eunice in a doubleheader Friday.
