2012-09-29
Both Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College soccer teams spent the beginning of the season playing games at home. However the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs recently concluded a road stretch that included four games on the road. Last weekend the men dropped a 3-2 decision to Wallace State then tied with Hinds 1-1 on Sept. 25. On Sept. 28 Gulf Coast (4-5-2) dropped a 2-1 overtime contest at East Central with Nick Wheelock scoring the team’s goal.
The Lady Bulldogs (5-4) fell to Hinds 2-0 Sept. 25 but rebounded with a 3-1 win over East Central which featured goals by Dani Craft, Torie Zimmer, and Blair Guice.
Gulf Coast takes on archrival Pearl River Oct. 3 at Perkinston with games at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.
