MGCCC tennis splits with Northeast

Under warm, breezy conditions Thursday at the Biloxi Tennis Center, the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College men’s tennis team defeated Northeast 8-1 while the women dropped a 4-5 decision.
Gulf Coast players Landon Williams, Glynn Bowman, Lin Jacobson, Josh Lang and Jordan Craft all won their singles matches in straight sets. In doubles play, Williams/Bowman, Jacobson/Lang and Craft/Shawn Landsdale all scored victories.
The team of Amelia Knight/Megan Terrell won their doubles match, while Terrell, Victoria Hagel and Charmayne Purvis won singles matches for Gulf Coast.
The Bulldogs will be back in action Saturday on the road against Co-Lin.
