  • Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College improved to 9-1 with an 87-74 win over Bishop State Monday Night at the Weathers/Wentzell Center. Freshman Matthew Washington led the Bulldogs with 25 points. The Lady Bulldogs defeated Bishop State 70-54 behind a 22 point outing from Kiara Johnson. Brooke Eccles also chipped in 12 points for Gulf Coast (3-5).

  • Jones sweeps MGCCC

    Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College's comeback attempt against Jones fell short as the Bobcats held off the Bulldogs 91-85 Monday Night in Ellisville. Gulf Coast (14-7, 4-4) went on a 22-9 run in the second half to cut the Jones lead to 84-83 with 1:35 to go but couldn't gain any more ground on the home team.

  • MGCCC basketball sweeps Hinds

    PERKINSTON---Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College overtook MACJC South Division leading Hinds Thursday and came away with an 82-74 win to up their record to 14-6 overall and 4-3 in the South Division. Hinds led for most of the contest until the Bulldogs went on a 21-5 run in the last six minutes of the game to seal the win. Raymond CIntron and Travis Rascoe each had 22 points for Gulf Coast while WIllis Brownlee added 16.
