ELLISVILLE---Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College's comeback attempt against Jones fell short as the Bobcats held off the Bulldogs 91-85 Monday Night in Ellisville. Gulf Coast (14-7, 4-4) went on a 22-9 run in the second half to cut the Jones lead to 84-83 with 1:35 to go but couldn't gain any more ground on the home team.
Raymond Cintron led Gulf Coast with 26 points while Marlon Williams had 16 and Travis Rasco added 14.
The Lady Bulldogs dropped an 88-74 decision to Jones. Brooke Eccles led Gulf Coast (7-14, 3-5) with 26 points while Kiara Johnson added 19.
Gulf Coast plays host to Pearl River Thursday in Perkinston.
