Johnson, a 5-foot-5 point guard from Wiggins, averaged 16.7 points per game in 2009-10 for the Lady Bulldogs and also averaged three steals and three assists per contest.
“I chose Belhaven so I could go into Pre-Law and also play basketball,” Johnson said. “It’s a very good school and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to play at the next level.”
Johnson also played in the annual MACJC All-Star Game on Mar. 25 and earned Most Valuable Player honors as she helped lead the South squad to a 73-59 win over the North.
