MGCCC Lady Bulldogs upend LSU-E 88-86

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College made sophomore night count as they defeated LSU-Eunice 88-86 to finish the 2009-10 season at 9-18. Sophomore Brooke Eccles led the Lady Bulldogs with 21 points while Deonica McCormick had 20. Gulf Coast started the game leading 29-6 and held a 49-36 halftime advantage. However, the Lady Bengals closed the gap in the second half but couldn’t get any shots off in the last 30 seconds of the game.

Eccles, guard Kiara Johnson, and guard Kaci Burkhalter were all recognized by Gulf Coast head coach Melanie Stone.
