MGCCC basketball splits at Miss. Delta

A buzzer-beating three-pointer by MGCCC’S Kiara Johnson helped the Lady Bulldogs defeat Miss. Delta 56-54 Thursday Night to improve to 4-7 on the season.

Johnson had 16 points, Nicole Edwards added 10, and Brooke Eccles led the team with 18.

The men’s squad lost to the Trojans 75-62 to drop to 9-4 on the season.

Both teams are headed into the Christmas break. The Lady Bulldogs get back in action Jan. 1-2 at the LSU-Eunice New Year’s Classic while the men’s team plays again Jan. 5 at Jeff Davis C.C.
