POPLARVILLE---Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College couldn’t cut into a sizeable Pearl River lead as the Wildcats defeated the Bulldogs 86-75 to drop Gulf Coast to 10-5 overall and 0-3 in the MACJC South Division. The Wildcats (10-4, 1-2) lead 46-35 at halftime thanks to several three-pointers and kept command of the contest from start to finish. Travis Rasco led the Bulldogs with 24 points.
The Lady Bulldogs (5-9, 1-2) used a 24-9 run to begin the second half and rolled past Pearl River 80-59. Kiara Johnson led Gulf Coast with 28 points while Brianne Collins netted 18. Gulf Coast entertains Co-Lin Thursday at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
