Former Bulldog earns CFL honors
INFO & PHOTO COURTESY OF CFL---Former Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Bulldog earned Canadian Football League Defensive player of the Week honors after a standout performance last week for the Toronto Argonauts.
Lawrence, a George County native who played at Gulf Coast from 2010-11 and was an NJCAA All-American, forced two fumbles, recovered one, and had two tackles as the Argos beat Montreal 38-13.
Lawrence joins Demond Washington (Winnipeg) as former Bulldogs playing in Canada this season.
