No. 13 MGCCC releases schedule
PERKINSTON — The Mississippi Gulf Coast softball plays 12 home dates in Coach Eric Neel's first season, which starts on Feb. 7.

The Bulldogs, who went 31-14 last season and are ranked 13th in the NJCAA preseason poll, play Dyersburg State in a pair of doubleheaders on the first two days of their season.
Gulf Coast plays six teams in the national poll, and all of them at home. No. 11 Sinclair is scheduled to play at Ross-Smith Field on Feb. 15. Defending national champion LSU Eunice, which tops the rankings, visits March 3, and No. 7 Itawamba is next on the schedule three days later. No. 17 Lansing comes to Perk on March 10.
No. 15 East Central is at Ross-Smith Field on April 22, and No. 4 Jones visits for the last home date on April 28. Gulf Coast will also make a March trip to Eunice.
The MACJC Tournament will be played May 6-8 at the regular-season champion, and the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament is May 13-16 at LSU Eunice.
