PERKINSTON – Mississippi Gulf Coast women's soccer kicks off a big week with a home match against Meridian on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
The Lady Bulldogs follow that up Saturday with another home game against Southwest.
"This is a huge week for us," Lady Bulldogs interim head coach Jackie Rhodes said. "It's kind of a do-or-die situation. These are two must-win games we have to get to make it a little bit easier to get in the playoffs."
Gulf Coast (1-5) is tied for third in the MACJC South Division at 1-2 with Meridian (2-3-1) and Southwest (1-5).
The Lady Eagles are the first test.
"We know they have good forwards," Rhodes said. "They're going to play out of the back a lot. Overall, I think they're going to be a really even matchup for us, probably the most even matchup we've played so far."
