Jackie Rhodes enters her fourth season as MGCCC women’s head soccer coach, having been a part of the program at every level. Her teams have put together an 18-9-4 record the last two seasons and advanced to the MACJC semifinals both years.

She coached 2015 as the interim head coach, hired officially in December. The Lady Bulldogs went 7-9-1 her first year, going 3-1-1 over the second half of the MACJC season. Her team beat then-17th-ranked Jones County during that stretch, a major milestone of early success.

Rhodes played at Gulf Coast in 2001-02, then was part of the first women’s soccer recruiting class at Winthrop. She returned to Perkinston to be a graduate assistant from 2004 to 2006 before launching a successful high school coaching career.

She started at St. John before the school became St. Patrick, eventually becoming girls soccer coach at West Harrison. Her Lady Hurricanes teams won four district titles in five seasons.

Rhodes returned to Gulf Coast in 2014 to be assistant women’s soccer coach before being elevated to interim head coach and, ultimately, head coach.

Rhodes and her husband, Brad, have two girls, Kennedy, 7, and Riley, 4.
