MGCCC receives votes in preseason poll

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast received votes in the NJCAA Division I Men's Soccer Preseason Rankings released Wednesday.

Gulf Coast is the only MACJC team recognized in the first poll of the season, which is compiled by the NJCAA Men's Soccer Coaches Association.

The Bulldogs, coming off a 13-3-1 season, open the regular season in Milledgeville, Ga., on Aug. 25 when they take on Daytona State. They play host Georgia Military the following day before returning to Perkinston to open MACJC South play against archrival Pearl River on Aug. 31.

Gulf Coast plays its final scrimmage Sunday when LSU-Alexandria visits the MGCCC Soccer Complex. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
