No. 15 Gulf Coast win 9th straight

No. 15 Mississippi Gulf Coast won its ninth straight match Friday by taking down No. 23 East Central.

The Bulldogs completed their season sweep of the Warriors by winning 8-1 at Decatur.

Gulf Coast improves to 16-1 overall, 14-1 in MACCC play. East Central is 10-8, 8-7.

The Bulldogs won two of three doubles matches before sweeping all six singles courts.

Gulf Coast was scheduled to play Holmes at Perkinston on Tuesday, but the school has had to shut down its tennis teams for the rest of the season as a result of damage to its dorms and courts from this week's tornado. The Bulldogs will play an exhibition against William Carey in Hattiesburg on Wednesday.
