Irving, Vines lead Bulldogs on All-MACCC Team
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast put three players on the All-MACCC baseball team, including Kaden Irving and James Vines on the First Team.
The conference's coaches selected the team, which included Samuel Marsh on the Honorable Mention list.
Irving, a sophomore corner infielder from Gautier, batted .350 with 12 home runs and 51 RBI. He was fourth in the MACCC with homers and sixth in RBI. Irving also got plunked 20 times, sixth-most in the league. He slugged .633, sixth best.
Vines, a freshman right-hander from Clinton, La., went 7-2 with a 2.78 ERA. That was the sixth-lowest ERA in the MACCC, and his 93 strikeouts were third-best. He struck out 12.31 batters per game, second-best in the conference.
Marsh, a right-handed freshman from Monroe, La., went 6-4 with a 4.67 ERA. He struck out 79 batters, 11th-most in the conference, and he threw 71.1 innings, ninth-most. Marsh was fourth in the MACCC with four complete games.
