PERKINSTON — Taelar Felton and Jacylin Houston had big games Saturday for No. 17 Mississippi Gulf Coast, which beat Calhoun 79-73 in Dantzler Arena.
The Bulldogs won for the second time in as many days to start the season while hosting the Gulf Coast Classic.
Felton (Fr., Clinton/Clinton) had 25 points, and Houston (So., Louisville/Louisville) was right behind with 24.
They were the only two Bulldogs in double-digits, but eight other teammates scored.
Gulf Coast returns to action Tuesday with their first road trip to play Meridian. Tipoff for the women in a non-conference doubleheader is set for 5:30 p.m.
